Religious Education

Choose a subject:

Theologists at Front Lawn will focus on the key beliefs and concepts of six different faiths and a non-religious worldview, as the driver to get to the heart of faith and link together stories, practices, festivals and ways of life.

Content and Sequencing

  • RE is split into the three milestones and linked to The Emmanuel Project.
  • The skills and knowledge are developed through lessons taught throughout the term and dashboards that support the retrieval of previous learning.

Assessment in RE

RE is assessed each Term.  Teachers identify who is exceeding expectations and children who are not meeting the expected standard. Teachers will be mindful of any significant groups who are not making progress and ensure they keep a close eye on them the following term.

More Able Theologians

The more able Theologians at Front Lawn are offered a termly trip. This year we have planned for them to visit Portsmouth Cathedral.

As theologists we learn about other religions respectfully.
